Le concert d’IQ prévu à Barcelone le samedi 11 juillet dans le cadre du «Festival Be Prog My Friend » est annulé, visiblement suite à des problèmes de communication avec les organisateurs d’après le message posté par le groupe sur son site le 4 juillet.
« We are extremely disappointed to announce that IQ’s appearance at Saturday’s Be Prog My Friend Festival in Barcelona has been cancelled. We were very much looking forward to being part of this event, but unfortunately the agreed terms and conditions of our performance were reduced dramatically and, partly due to a series of misunderstandings and miscommunications (often translated from Spanish to German to English through a third party), the organisers of the event chose to cancel IQ’s participation with no further negotiation allowed.
In a career spanning 34 years we’ve never had this happen to us before at such a late stage and we’d like to apologise to anyone who is attending and were looking forward to seeing us in particular.
We will be trying very hard to make an appearance in Spain, and Barcelona in particular, as soon as possible next year. »
